This leading global bank is seeking an experienced associate level financial accountant to join their finance team.

The ideal candidate will come from within another global bank’s finance team and/or product control function. Big 4 accountants working with financial services clients will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Defining and implementing control procedures both onshore and offshore to ensure quality and timeliness
• Exception management and escalation of issues to senior management
• Develop and implement consistent controls and processes across business lines
• Responsible for all Pnl and Balance sheet activities
• Ensure MAFA breaks are investigated and resolved
• Ensure all account balances are substantiated as per guidelines
• FX exposures management
• Preparation of month-end reconciliations; preparation and posting of the necessary ledger journals; liaison with Operations, Middle Office and Front Office to ensure resolution of identified breaks
• Assist in issue resolution and training for offshore support staff
• Ensure all Regulatory and Head Office reporting is completed per required deadlines
• Daily and monthly regulatory reporting to the ASX

Requirements:

• Technically strong management/financial accountant
• Previous experience in Investment Banking product control
• IFRS experience
• MS Excel (required) / SAP
