State Street has appointed a new head of Australia and New Zealand for its investment servicing business, State Street Global Services.

Paul Khoury has been appointed as the head of State Street Global Services for Australia and New Zealand, responsible for business and operations, effective from 30 June.

Mr Khoury has been with State Street since 2001 and was most recently head of Asset Manager Sector Sales for the Asia Pacific region. Before that, he was the chief operating officer for global services in Australia.

“In his new role, Mr Khoury will focus on capitalising on State Street’s strong sales pipeline, overseeing existing client relationships and integrating new clients such as Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC),” said a statement by the company.

“Earlier this month VFMC announced that State Street had been appointed custodian and administrator of its $50 billion in assets.”

Mr Khoury will report to Chris Taylor, who retains his role as overall head of State Street Global Markets and global services for Australia and New Zealand.
