New head of Aus/NZ custody for JP Morgan

JP Morgan has appointed a new head of custody and fund services for Australia and New Zealand.

Nadia Schiavon, who joined JP Morgan in 2011, has been appointed as head of custody and fund services for Australia and New Zealand.

JP Morgan head of Asia Pacific custody and fund services Colin McKechnie said: “Nadia brings extensive networks from across the firm and a deep understanding of our business and solutions.”

“This appointment strengthens our custody and fund services offering in the region at an important time for the business.

“[Ms Schiavon] will partner closely with local leadership to execute on our strategic growth plans and further strengthen our client relationships,” he said.

Prior to joining JP Morgan as head of treasury services, Ms Schiavon held a variety of senior positions at Citi for 23 years.

Commenting on her appointment, Ms Schiavon said: “I am pleased to be leading the custody and fund services business at a time when the services we provide for our clients have never been more critical, as they strive to meet their business objectives in highly competitive environments, with demanding regulatory and operational agendas.”

Ms Schiavon will replace Henry Capra in the role.
