Asset Management Vendor – Relationship Manager

Location: Sydney

Salary description: $120k - $150k + super

  • $100-150k AUD Equivalent
  • 7 to 10 years of experience

Our client is seeking a senior level relationship and account management position working the Sydney office in support of financial markets clients. The role of the Relationship Manager is responsible for revenue growth and expanding market share at its highest value. The position will look after the most complex designated accounts to maximise customer satisfaction and achieve company’s strategic objectives.

The role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Managing, retaining and growing revenue, responsible for sales and accountable for service performance including new sales and revenue quota attainment
  • Establishing strong, long-term customer relationships and cultivate new business opportunities
  • Continuing to maintain relationships with key decision makers
  • Strategically developing and executing a growth-centric account plan and own overall strategy for growth and revenue as appropriate

The ideal profile for this position would be an applicant with several years of vendor relationship management experience, with a financial markets focus. Previous financial markets experience is usually preferred for Relationship Manager positions, ideally with a client service or technology focus. Furthermore, ideal skills for this position include:

  • Strong understanding of customers and their business model and workflows
  • Industry experience within the BuySide market
  • Strong product knowledge
  • Relationship building skills
  • Selling skills (identity, develop and articulate a complex proposition/consultative selling)
