Our client is a leading global equities trading firm with a sizeable presence in Sydney. They are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with finance related projects experience coming from financial services firms to work on a range of cross functional change projects across the business.
The finance work is heavily weighted towards system enhancements, new system implementation and process improvements
You will be part of a newly created team, that will have a cross-functional remit and be responsible for delivering change initiatives as well as several annual projects across the Finance, Operations and Risk areas.
The role is being offered as a temporary contract role initially for 6 months, but will very likely go permanent. Initially paid on a daily rate depending on prior experience related to the role.
The team will be responsible for the planning, oversight and implementation of projects from ideation through to completion:
- Onboarding and Off-boarding of correspondents
- Implementation of new products and services including but not limited to:
- Drafting of business requirements
- Development of new procedures
- Liaise with Technology
- Business acceptance Testing
- Post Implementation Review
- Preparation of Business Acceptance Review Committee documents
- New system roll out and adoption
- Product Enhancements
- Process Improvement
- Responsibility to manage risk in change in accordance with the risk framework
- Annual User Access Audit
- Annual tax reporting obligations managed in Operations such as Common Reporting Standard, ATO Market Participant Reporting, and Annual Investment Income Return
- Monthly Management Committee and Steering Committee Reporting on progress of key initiatives
The ideal candidate has:
- Experience as a project manager or senior business analyst
- Exposure to a brokerage firm and/or equities trading operation
- Excellent attention to detail, strong work ethic
- Has a solid track record of driving successful initiatives to completion.
- Ability to be dynamic in a challenging environment
