PermanentOur client is a Tier 1 Global Investment Bank seeking a senior financial accountant to join their team permanently.
The ideal candidate will be coming from another global financial services business (ideally an investment bank) within a financial accounting function with 3+ years experience
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Finance and major accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Reports for local Regulatory Authorities
- Execution of Daily, Monthly and Quarterly controls
- Assisting with the preparation and review of audit files for the external auditors
- Assisting with / Preparation of the local statutory financial statements
- Assisting with the Annual Statutory returns
- Preparation of quarterly tax effect accounting
- Preparation of monthly BAS return
- Preparation of weekly withholding tax return
- Preparation of GST returns, BAS, AIIR reports, IAS and DTA
- Preparation of information for tax returns
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with a bachelor degree in commerce/accounting
- At least 3 year of financial reporting / accounting experience from a financial services business
- Sound knowledge of local statutory and tax regulations, Experience of preparation of various tax filings
- Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of APRA Banking Returns will be added advantage
- Highly motivated and willing to learn with a high degree of professionalism and initiative
- Experience within the financial services sector preferred
