Leading global financial services firm seeking a contractor initially for 6 months to join their operations department focused on Cash Processing/Funds Transfer and payments
Job Description
- Monitor/assign the daily incoming activity of payment instruction and prioritize payments based on the priority of instruction and flag any issues to internal stakeholder that arise.
- Reviews the status on payments submitted through various methods on bank applications.
- Monitors payments end-to-end workflow are ensure bank/swift confirmations are documented
- Daily update payment batch register and ensure end of day tasks are completed.
- Daily communication with internal stakeholders and ensure all systems and process are carried out in a timely manner
- Researches differences in cash processing and escalate issues as needed
- US Tax Reporting, liaise with Custodian and collection of US Tax forms and underlying tax documentation.
- Ensure that all daily Trust/company bank account administration is up to date, including overdrafts, daily downloading bank balance
- Reconciles branch daily working files and ensure compliance and completion within required timeframe
- Understand and ensure compliance related to Operations
- Ensure queries or problems are resolved promptly.
- Ensure that all accounts payable & receivable work is completed to a high standard and in a timely fashion
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- 2-3 years of total work experience preferred.
- Experience in banking or financial services preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous payment experience and US Tax knowledge would be an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of payments
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft office products, Excel
- Problem Solving, analytical skills
