Our client is a leading Investment Bank with a sizable office in Melbourne’s CBD. They are seeking an experienced HR professional with between 2-5 years prior experience to join their HR division for a 12 month maternity leave contract.

Ideal candidates will be coming from another leading Bank, Fund Manager or Professional Services firm (Accounting, Legal, Financial Services) with between 2-5 years prior HR experience


  • Partner with the regional Talent Advisor teams to facilitate and drive key people development processes for the division;
  • Support year-end compensation processes and provide advisory support throughout the year;
  • Work across a diverse range  of projects (i.e. strong quantitative skills combined  with  aptitude for talent management initiatives) with different stakeholders;
  • Analyze headcount, hiring, attrition and benchmarking trends to understand market movement and advise stakeholders on best approaches to attract and retain top talent;

Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or an analytical field such as Finance, Accounting is desirable, or related field, with 2-3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Technical skills: proficient in Microsoft Office products; familiarity with Excel an advantage

Preferred qualifications

  • Basic statistical analysis, including descriptive and inferential statistics
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Business Objects, Tableau)
  • Familiarity with Human Capital Management concepts and data
  • Ability to work in a geographically diverse team and build strong relationships across locations and regions
