Our client facilitates the development of international projects with measurable social and environmental impact while delivering commercial returns. They are an originator, facilitator and advisor across the emerging impact investment asset class, with a particular specialisation in blended finance.
Ideal candidates will have up to 4 years’ post-university experience in project finance, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity or consulting. Interest or prior experience in impact investing, renewable/sustainable development style infrastructure would be helpful in this role.
Opportunity
The Impact Investment Analyst is responsible for supporting all stages of the project cycle: project origination, pre-financial close project development, social/environmental impact methodology development, financial structuring and public/private capital-raising. The Analyst will work closely with senior partners and other team members to prepare material, write reports, and conduct research and analysis to meet project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing Information Memoranda, and drafting of NDAs, MOUs, consulting agreements and partnership agreements.
- Market research and analysis, financial analysis, due diligence support and review of project budgets.
- Support drafting of NDAs, MOUs, consulting agreements, partnership agreements and investment approval memoranda.
- Support the development of impact evaluation theories, methodologies and conduct analysis around changing business environments, regulations and risks.
- Review project budgets and project quality assurance deliverables.
Key Criteria:
- University degree in Commerce, Economics, Law or similar with 1-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in an investment/corporate banking, private equity or consulting environment.
- Experience and interest in impact investing, renewable/sustainable development style infrastructure desirable.
