A global financial services firm is seeking an Internal Auditor for a Risk Project, on an initial 9 month+ contract.
The successful applicant will join the Regulatory Change Projects team to support the delivery of risk and regulatory remediation programs. You will closely work with a team of experienced risk project professionals including business analysts involved in the delivery of the businesses remediation risk programs/activities.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of the project’s deliverables and outputs are up to standard and meet the completion criteria.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain and refine the methodology for documentation of all project deliverables and outputs
- Maintain product consistency throughout the delivery cycle, to include the design, implement and embed phases through quality checkpoints and testing.
- Implement ongoing quality improvement processes working with the delivery team
- Develop and manage quality assurance metrics for performance improvement of all teams
- Manage the planning and execution of project assurance activities
- Coordinate assurance activities internal and external to the Melbourne Branch
- Review documentation and closure packs before they are sent out to external stakeholders.
- Identify relevant quality-related areas of improvement and upskill the team accordingly
- Promote quality achievement and performance improvement
- Maintain the project infrastructure to support the overall project in daily operations.
- Support the Project Managers with dashboards and project reporting across portfolios
Required Experience/ Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Quality Assurance Manager
- 3-6 years’ experience in Audit, Quality Assurance and or Risk Projects from other leading banks
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Finance, Risk or related field
- Experience in Assurance testing within first, second or third line
- Experience in process improvement
- Experience working on regulatory compliance driven environments and projects will be highly advantageous
Additional ideal skills:
- Data Analytics (i.e., Tableau, PowerBI)
- Exposure to first line/second line/operational roles in in Asset Servicing /Fund Administration/Capital Markets/Cash Payments operations are highly regarded
This position will pay a good hourly rate, likely $85-100ph.
