


The Project Manager role is specifically focused on multiple projects impacting domestic and cross-border cash payments.
As part of the Project Management Team in Operations the Project Manager will be assigned to managing multiple projects and the significant change agenda impacting the custody world, including market driven change, regulatory change, client change requests, internal platform upgrades/migrations and internal process/control enhancements.
The team works closely with onshore and offshore operational teams, account management teams, client service management teams, product, and local/global IT teams, as well as clients, market participants, and regulatory bodies (e.g., ASX, AusPayNet, AUSTRAC, ACSA, etc.).

Responsibilities
- Managing a complex book of work, supporting a small team to successfully deliver multiple projects to market driven deadlines
- The adoption of ISO20022 standards within SWIFT payment messages.
- Managing the application of AusPayNet Usage Guidelines 2025
- AUSTRAC IFTI reporting
- Simplifying complexity, clearly articulating business requirements, resource requirements and risks
- Ensuring strong engagement with local and global stakeholders
- Excellent governance and communication, ensuring comprehensive yet concise updates to management and stakeholders
- Ensuring overall operational readiness for the location
- Identification of risks and issues as well as appropriate mitigation plans
- Establish and maintain relationships with external parties, representing the firm in relevant industry working groups
- Represent the Australian branch in internal global working groups
Technical Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required:
- Over 5 years+ experience within the custody industry, coupled with project management experience and including solid knowledge of operations within domestic and/or global custody and related operational risk and compliance requirements
- Practical project management experience and an ability to demonstrate strong communication, governance and stakeholder management
- Awareness of the local regulatory environment
- Strong working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and all Microsoft Office tools, preferably including Project and Visio
- Technical knowledge of custody cash payments, including SWIFT message types and ISO20022, HVCS
- PRINCE II or Agile professional qualifications highly desirable
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and numeracy abilities.
