Registry Officers – 6 month contracts

Salary description: up to $75K + super based on experience

  • $50-100k AUD Equivalent
  • Contract or Temporary
  • 1 to 3 years of experience

Leading fund is seeking experienced unit registry officers to join their team ASAP.

Overview

Our client is a global fund manager who is a leader in their field. They have experienced rapid growth over the past few months with the turn in the market. Due to this, they are requiring an experienced candidate with strong registry services experience to join their team initially on a 6 month contract,

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of the unit-holder register including processing applications/redemptions/switches/transfers of units on a daily basis
  • Liaison with clients and trustees regarding holdings and unit pricing information
  • Production of various reports at regular intervals
  • Performing portfolio valuations reconciliations
  • Liaison with external service provider regarding valuations
  • Testing of new versions of Unit Registry system and applications developed in house
  • Provide job coverage for team members
  • Ad hoc reporting and tasks as directed by the Head of Fund Services

Experience

  • 2+ years experience with an investment manager or custodian in a unit registry administration role

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience with a unit registry system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (not including macros)
  • Working knowledge of unit trust products
  • Knowledge of fund accounting
  • Exposure to Investment Management systems
  • Understanding of the distribution process
  • Knowledge of the tax impacts of unit trusts
