Our client is a global financial services institution looking for an experienced Senior IT Helpdesk Support Analyst to join their business in Melbourne.

The successful candidate will join the business on an initial 12-month contract with the possibility to convert to perm. This is a high paying IT Helpdesk Support Analyst contract paying from $50-$57 per hour (circa $125k per annum equivalent).

Key Areas of Responsibility and IT Support:

  • Desktop Support: across both Windows and Mac
  • ITIL IT Service Management. Including offering global support as required
  • Data Centre Management and IT support related to network and server management
  • Assisting in devising hardware and software solutions using personal computers (PC), data communications equipment, terminals, electronic office equipment and desktop tools
  • Analysis of system needs, handles problem resolution, provides quality assurance reviews and trains partners on use of various tools.
  • Provides technical support to all Asia offices
  • Performs Project Manager responsibilities as needed and keeps abreast of new technology
  • Researches and resolves PC hardware and software and/or mainframe software problems

KEY SKILLS for this position:

  • Desktop support for Win 10 environment including O365 Applications
  • ITIL IT Service Management Processes: Incident, Change and Problem Management
  • Knowledge on Data Center, Network and Server Management: understanding of LAN/WAN, AD, File Servers
  • Project Coordination

Technical Experience + Qualifications required:

  • A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent: ideally in IT or computer science or similar
  • Several years’ of technical experience with IT infrastructure, system applications and PC, office and desktop tools
  • ITIL, MCSE, MCSA and CCNA certification a plus
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow a plus
  • Ideally you will have IT infrastructure experience with Networking, Server, Telephony, End-User computing, AV experience

This role will look to pay a competitive hourly rate for a candidate with the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience.

The ideal candidate will have several years’ experience in Networking, Server, Telephony, End-User computing or AV experience, ideally with a financial services company. You will need to be Melbourne based, and ok to work this position 100% at the desk, in the office at Collins Street, as required to offer IT users on-site IT support.

You cannot not WFH to complete this on-site IT Support Analyst position.

This position will be paid on an hourly basis, via Anton Murray Consulting, working on-site with our client, for an initial duration of 12m. Based on good performance, it is likely your contract will be extended or you may be offered a full perm position in the team.
