Contract or Temporary Our client, a globally recognised financial services organisation, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join their APAC technology team based in Singapore on an initial 6-month contract.
This position offers the opportunity to work within a complex enterprise environment supporting critical network infrastructure and regional technology operations across Asia-Pacific. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining, enhancing, and optimising network services while contributing to broader infrastructure initiatives across the region.
Key Responsibilities
• Support and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN network environments across multiple APAC locations.
• Manage and troubleshoot network security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and related infrastructure.
• Provide technical expertise across voice, video, and unified communications platforms.
• Support the delivery of network-related infrastructure projects, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Monitor and maintain network performance, availability, and resilience across mission-critical environments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, and operations teams to ensure stable and secure service delivery.
• Assist with business continuity, disaster recovery, and infrastructure resilience initiatives.
• Work closely with vendors and third-party service providers to resolve incidents and deliver technology improvements.
• Contribute to technical documentation, operational procedures, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Support capacity planning, performance analysis, and continuous improvement activities across the technology environment.
• Participate in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex infrastructure and network-related issues.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing across the broader technology team.
Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering, infrastructure engineering, or technology operations.
• Strong hands-on experience supporting:
- LAN/WAN networking
- Network security technologies (Firewall, IPS, VPN)
- Voice and video infrastructure
- Data centre environments
- Virtualisation platforms
- Storage and database technologies
- Cloud infrastructure (private and public cloud)
- Information security technologies
• Experience working within large-scale, highly available enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across complex network and infrastructure environments.
• Experience supporting infrastructure projects and technology transformation initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Understanding of business continuity, disaster recovery, risk management, and compliance requirements.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent would be highly regarded.
• Mandarin language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
