Our client is a global financial services powerhouse with 80,000 employees across 50 countries. This role sits as part of the APAC Talent Acquisition team. The Talent Acquisition Consultant is responsible for sourcing, interviewing, and attracting qualified individuals for management, executive and specialist positions which are often complex in nature. This role will be initially hired on a 6-month contract with a view to extend for successful applicants.

Responsibilities

  • Influence talent decisions and provide consultative advice which adds measurable value to hiring managers.
  • Gain knowledge of the business units/functions and an understanding of the organisation’s strategy, business model, operations, financial goals, and competitive position (in addition, a general knowledge of corporate business fundamentals, models, finance, and management principles is also important).
  • Understand the talent needs of hiring managers when opening a requisition and the ability to assess candidate quality, skills and fit likely to have been gained in a similar financial service or professional services organisation.
  • Influence employment decisions of prospects and candidates and maintain effective relationships with candidates through the recruiting process.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with vendors, universities and/or relevant third-party organisations
  • Leverage technology to locate, engage and attract prospective candidates and the skills required to effectively execute, negotiate, and close the recruitment process
  • Support ongoing process optimisation efforts within Talent Acquisition, effectively (and accurately) use the Applicant Tracking System, supporting other members of Talent Acquisition and working on projects with other areas of HR or the business as required.

Desired Qualifications

  • 6 – 8 years’ experience recruiting for Australia and APAC regions
  • Knowledge of the labour markets and the ability to identify a steady stream of prospective talent in anticipation of future talent needs
  • Is a technical expert with in-depth knowledge of all areas of recruitment and sourcing
  • In-depth knowledge of compensation/benefits policies and practices
  • Expert knowledge in end-to-end recruiting including sourcing methodologies, candidate development, head hunting and market mapping
  • Strong consulting, Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent client servicing and communication (written and verbal) skills across all organisation levels
  • Strong knowledge of market trends
  • Knowledge and proficiency with applicant tracking systems (Taleo or Workday highly regarded), HR Systems and Microsoft office packages
  • Experience working in financial services is highly regarded
