Wealth Management – WRAP Project Coordinator/PMO (18-month contract)

Salary description: $550-$650 per day plus super

  • $100-150k AUD Equivalent

  • 3 to 7 years of experience

This is a great opportunity for an experienced project coordinator to join the PMO team  of a leading wealth management firm working on a large scale client transformation and transition project.

Ideal candidates will have a background in Wealth Management transformation / transitions projects and a project coordination or Business Analysis background.

This purpose of this role is to strengthen the newly established Program Management function responsible for designing and implementing transformational projects for the Wealth Management Business, with primary focus on enhancing the existing domestic product and platform solution

The role will be primarily responsible for driving the co-ordination of a major program. This will include administration duties (maintenance of project documentation, preparing of decision making material, minutes and action logs) and project management duties. You will be responsible for working with colleagues across all parts of the Wealth Management business in Australia, and support the Head of the Program in delivering a successful outcome

Key Accountabilities

  • Preparation of weekly project status reporting and management meeting materials, minutes and action logs
  • Work with key subject matter experts across teams and locations to collate regular updates across all areas of the program, track action items, oversee the completion of the projects tasks and monitor adherence to timelines
  • Work with the Head of the Program in preparing ad hoc management presentations and updates on the program
  • Prepare cost and resourcing reports, project risks, issue register, status of deliverables and tracking against timelines
  • Undertake analysis tasks and support the project managers and Subject Matter Experts with their project deliverables, such as mapping out and documenting target operating models, transition plans, process flows or communication plans
  • Participate in appropriate forums (such as working groups or governance meetings)

Key Competencies / Skills

  • The candidate must have 4+ years of project co-ordination/management experience
  • Ideally, the candidate has experience working on a larger scale transformational /transition project ideally within Wealth Management
  • The candidate must have the ability to develop strong relationships with various teams across the firm, and excellent communications skills to achieve desired results (e.g. receive timely status updates across all project areas)
  • The candidate must be able to plan, prioritise and successfully execute project work. An understanding of the wider context is necessary to ensure that issues, dependencies and risks can be identified
