Fixed income investment manager Pimco has appointed a number of new managing directors across its US, Europe and Asia offices. Libby Cantrill has been appointed to the role of Pimco managing director and head of public policy, where she will analyse policy and oversee responses to public policy issues, according to a statement. She also occupies the position of Pimco New York co-head, is a member of Pimco’s Americas Portfolio Committee, and founded Pimco Women.
Before her time at the investment manager, she was a legislative aide to a Congress member and has 14 years of investment banking experience. Additionally, former Merrill Lynch managing director Rick Chan and former Prime International Trading consulting strategist Josh Davis have been appointed to the dual roles of managing director alongside portfolio manager. Mr Chan will focus on interest rate derivatives while Mr Davis will manage multi-strategy alternative portfolios.
