Our client is a leading global asset manager, seeking an experienced Team Assistant to support their Sales and Distribution team in Australia.  You will provide first class support to the Managing Director and a small team of BDM’s enabling them to achieve the highest level of sales activity and client service.

This position involves frequent contact with a variety of people at all levels within the organisation and external stakeholders.

The Team Assistant must be able to exercise good judgement, maintain confidentiality and effectively manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities.

This role will suit an experienced Personal Assistant, Team Assistant, Executive Assistant or Desk Assistant coming from the Asset Management, Investment Banking or Wealth Management industries with over 3 + years prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Extensive, complex diary management, including coordination of internal and external meetings, calls, video conferences.
  • Maintain team diaries and contacts
  • Telephone answering is a priority & accurate and prompt messages and assistance
  • Travel & book flights and accommodation for team, including knowledge and awareness of the whereabouts of bankers, relevant client activities and travel policy guidelines
  • Expenses & accurately complete expense reports for team
  • Contribute to the distribution team by providing timely and accurate sales support to maintain and build investment activity.
  • Assist the senior Business Development Managers with required forms of business development and relationship management
  • Engage advisers by both inbound and outbound telephone work
  • Coordinate client events and functions
  • Be proactive in producing support materials necessary for meetings and complete a timely follow-up process
  • Assist with Investment Roadshows and Boardroom Briefings

Requirements:

  • Over 3 years’ experience in a similar support role; PA, EA, or a Team Assistant role ideally from an asset manager or similar financial services environment.
  • Must be able to work proactively in a fast-paced and demanding environment and have the ability to prioritize a busy workload
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver quality results
  • Exhibit highest standards of professionalism and maturity and the ability to bring ideas and experience to tasks
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills; able to interact at all levels
  • Proactive, punctual, reliable and a team player, together with a willingness to help other members of the team
  • Be a good team player who is willing and ready to help your peers to ensure smooth daily operation in the office
  • Business acumen and financial awareness
  • Fast and accurate keyboard skills
  • Advanced Outlook skills required for contacts maintenance and diary scheduling, including time zones

Unlisted Managed Funds – Team Leader – 12 month contract

The UUT Team Leader is responsible for managing either of the two streams within the UUT team. Specifically this includes overseeing the daily processes, managing “up” and “down” by supporting both the team Seniors and the team Manager.

It is the responsibility of the Team Leader to manage the prevention of errors. The Team Leader is responsible for the smooth daily functioning of the UUT team and with the implementation of projects and management of any client movement

The team is responsible for end to end processes for Unlisted unit trust (UUTs) Investments. This broadly covers areas:

  • Responsibility for sending trade instructions out to the market in a timely and correct manner on behalf of the Company’s clients.
  • Ensuring the settlement of these trades both financially and in the accounting system (Hiport)
  • Reconciling both cash and unit positions.
  • Sourcing unit prices for all assets held by Company’s clients.
  • Capturing and processing all periodic Corporate Action activities.

Prerequisites

Seeking :Minimum of 8 years work related experience in the financial services industry.

Sound technical knowledge in:

  • Unlisted Unit Trust trade end to end process
  • Unlisted Unit Trust products, platforms and systems
  • Custody, treasury and/or investment management operations
  • Alternatives investments  Fund administration
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in Managing  staff

Senior Financial Accountant – Funds Management – Permanent

Our client is a prominent global asset management firm seeking to hire a 2nd-level Vice President in their Hong Kong office in a Risk Consultant capacity to support the CRO in a range of operational and prudential risk functions. The role is for a Risk Management Consultant, based in Hong Kong. The individual will work within a regional Risk/Compliance team operating in a successful international Asset Management business, reporting to the International Chief Risk Officer. The role offers excellent exposure for someone looking to develop their career in an asset management based Risk Management role.

This is a broad ranging risk management position, working closely with the asset management division across the region to act in an operational and prudential risk oversight capacity.

Key responsibilities:

  • Under general direction, oversees the review, interpretation, and dissemination of current and proposed risk policies and procedures.
  • Provides consultation and advice to partners regarding risk mitigation and compliance. Establishes business development strategies that support the appropriate balance between risk and reward.
  • Reviews, disseminates, and interprets policies and procedures. Works to proactively establish and document related policies, procedures and standards within the parameters of any relevant laws and regulations.
  • Verifies that activities meet any federal, state and/or local legal and regulatory requirements and regulations and monitors outcomes/risk levels for the organisation or assigned area
  • Consults with partners regarding daily decisions that could pose risk and conflict with existing policy, and assist with client negotiations of new and existing business on various issues that may present elements of risk

Unlisted Unit Trusts – Account Manager – Contract

The UUT / Managed Funds Account Manager is responsible for assisting the Team Leader and Manager with making sure the team functions smoothly and the daily tasks of the team are delivered on time.

This is an initial contract role out till December 2021.

The team is responsible for end-to-end processes for Managed Fund investments including trade processing, distributions, management fee rebate, month end reporting, daily reconciliations, data entry processing and settlement, pricing, call payments, foreign exchange and static data.

Being a senior in the team, you will be handling more complex ad hoc requests within the team, making sure that all instructions and requests must be checked, authenticated and processed on the same day of receipt.

Seeking:

Minimum of 5 years work related experience in the financial services industry with a sound technical knowledge in:

Treasury Settlements – 15-month contract

Our client is a leading global bank seeking an experienced Fixed Income and FX settlements officer for a 15-month contract.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years’ experience in Fixed Income, Money Market, FX settlements, as well as have experience with EXIGO and SWIFT.

Responsibilities:

To ensure that all Global Markets transactions and Treasury transactions are settled in a timely manner whilst ensuring that bank procedures and controls are adhered to. Working in close liaison with the Dealing Room, back office, Middle Office and the rest of the local Operations department and our clients to ensure a smooth workflow and provide utmost client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

To ensure that the following instruments are monitored and settled in a timely manner

  • FX & Money Market trades (Corporate clients & locally booked)
  • Interbank customers. This may include shift work – early morning start times, approx. 6am.
  • Securities (Bonds and Repurchase Agreements)
  • Treasury transactions (NCD, call accounts)
    • To manage the local confirmation process and their verification
    • To manage and work closely with the ALM Treasury FO to ensure that bank’s liquidity flows are managed efficiently
    • To prepare the reconciliation of Nostro accounts and suspense accounts
    • To manage the AUD ESA account with the RBA efficiently according to the defined priority tree & ensure daily intraday calibration is met throughout the day
    • To work with offshore Nostro monitoring teams, ensure all breaks are reviewed and actions taken as required in a timely manner
    • To compile statistics of the area for regulatory and other reporting
    • To provide a high level of customer service with clients’ requests/ queries being attended to diligently
    • To co-ordinate work flows with offshore and local static data teams to ensure high level of correctness
    • To assist with internal FX bookings for other teams within Operations

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Three to five years’ experience in Fixed Income and Treasury Settlements
  • Experience in EXIGO/RITS settlements
  • Experience in SWIFT
  • Oral & Written Communication – ability to express clearly in conversations and interactions with others, as well as the ability to express clearly in business writing
