Our client is a global brokerage firm and within their equity markets division they are focused on providing broking execution and clearing services for their clients. The Equity Scrip Settlements Administrator role is focused on all domestic and international equities settlements, transfers and enquiries relating to this area. Ideal candidates will have at least 6 months’ experience in broking operations. Hourly rate is dependent on background circa- $40ph.
Responsibilities:
- Movement of stock between CHESS and within house accounts
- Liaise with client brokers to source stock for timely settlement
- Daily follow-up of outstanding trades and requests
- Review of all exception reporting
- DVP, Cash, On Market Settlement.
- Review short positions to avoid CHESS fail fees
- Liaise with stock lending desk to arrange stock borrow for failing trades
- Liaise with Cash department to arrange late/early settlement
- Reconcile Start and End-of-Day Stock position
- Assist with client’s Scrip Settlement queries
- Liaise with external brokers for transfer requests and settlement queries
- Review system generated reports
- Complete Equity transfers including: Broker-to-Broker; HIN; Off/On Market transfers and conversions
- Complete Electronic and Manual 451 SRN searches
- Assist client CHESS transfer queries
- Assist Deceased Estates / Change Trustee queries
- Reconciling client holdings
- Facilitate International Stock settlement
- Deliver quality service to both internal and external clients ensuring all internal controls and procedures are complied with at all times
Requirements:
- An in-depth understanding of the Clearing, Settlements and Custody Cycle
- Data entry experience
- Settlements experience gained through equity settlements exposure at a securities organisation or investment bank
- Knowledge of CHESS and ASX business rules
- Exposure to GBST Shares, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience in SUMMIT would be held in high regard
