We are seeking a strong candidate to fill a Research Analyst role, with a focus on Private Banking/Wealth
Management topics, but who is also familiar with the regional financial services industry overall.
This professional will support the local and global Financial Institutions practice through managing and processing research requests, assisting consultants with industry specific problems, and providing analysis to drive insight into specific client issues. This professional will participate in and manage Financial Institutions analysis projects under the guidance of senior consulting teams and senior partners.
Responsibilities:
- Partners with case teams to identify & address critical knowledge needs
- Work with case teams on expert research and deliver original analysis and insights for private banking/wealth management and other relevant topics locally and internationally
- Provides customized knowledge for client work, prepares well-developed client-ready deliverables, based on rigorous analysis
- Assist with expert navigation within the system to support case team’s specific needs
- With consultants, collects, synthesizes, analyzes case team learning & inputs into new knowledge products (vignettes, experience)
- Liaises with multiple stakeholders to deliver work products
- Builds analytical products (e.g., benchmarking, primary market sizing, usage of practice proprietary tools)
- Provides sophisticated synthesis and packaging of results (e.g., Excel data manipulation, client ready PowerPoint slides)
- Share topic/sector insights and points of view more broadly within the firm
- Support the global Financial Institutions team agenda
- Updates and maintains global and regional topic databases and provides regional updates for global products such as wealth databases
- Assures proper sign-off before uploading materials into KM & contributes to sanitization
Requirements:
- Expertise and solid knowledge in financial institutions with a focus on regional private banking/wealth management industry (offshore as well as regional onshore), experience is advantageous
- Familiarity of Hong Kong’s and mainland China’s overall financial services industry
- Effective written & verbal communication in English and Mandarin Chinese essential
- 2+years industry experience or 1-2+ years consulting experience
- Master degree preferred

- Ability to codify & develop knowledge
- Ability to provide industry advice with strong analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task & operate effectively in a matrix organization
- Knowledge in Asia capital markets topic a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & meet tight deadlines
- Ability to maintain discretion when needed
