A former chief and managing director of Suncorp is set to become the new chairman of a real estate securities manager. Resolution Capital has appointed Michael Cameron to the position of non-executive director and independent chair of the board, after his most recent role as Suncorp CEO from 2015 to 2019. Prior to fronting the bank, Mr Cameron had been managing director of GPT Group and he was also the chief financial officer of CBA.

He was reported to have held a further number of senior executive roles across property and financial services groups. Mr Cameron will replace outgoing Resolution chair Bruce Coleman, who has retired from being a non-executive director and chair of the board since 2007. Commencing in the role from 30 April, Mr Cameron said he looks forward to assisting the group’s team in the strategic direction for the firm and positioning it for future growth.
