This is a DCM Analyst position, working within the Corporate Trust division as part of the middle office function for this prominent global Investment Bank. Our client is a large global financial services and investment banking business, with this position working as part of the Institutional Trust Services division. This position works within their Corporate Trust group, specifically within the Corporate Trust Analytics team. This small team runs the analysis for corporate trust deals managed  on behalf of their clients across the Asia-Pac region. This is a relatively junior position within the team, and our client is seeking a DCM Analyst applicant with strong technical Excel or Access knowledge for this analytical role. We find that candidates with good treasury operations, syndication, securitisation or treasury middle office experience keen to work in a more analytical role, that this position can be a good fit.

Principally the team sets up and maintains structured finance and securitisation models for new and existing corporate trust deals, to help in calculation of periodic payments required as part of each deal. As such, the ideal applicant for this role would have some working Access, VBA or Excel knowledge with the ability to setup these models, and check for accuracies in the cash flow modelling. The Analytics team will review the Corporate Trust deal documentation, and then produce the Excel or Access model that will calculate the principal and waterfall payments under the deal. As such, the ideal candidate would come from an analytical type background, and keen to work in a team that is heavily Excel and VBA modelling based. Any working knowledge of Business Objects, Crystal Reports or SQL would be ideal but not essential.

This position runs the Analytics reporting to the client, and will have direct communication to several teams externally, so good communications skills and an ability to interpret complex trust management legal documentation is also important. This role is quite analytical, so coming from a technical university background is helpful such as Mathematics, Engineering or Finance.

This is a junior-level Analyst position, best suited to an applicant with 1-3 years of post-graduate analytical experience, with strong XLS skills.
