Natixis IM reshapes Australian leadership amid growth ambitions
InvestorDaily
Natixis Investment Managers has overhauled its Australian leadership team, promoting two long-serving executives to spearhead the next stage of growth in a market where the firm has steadily expanded its institutional and wholesale footprint. Danny King has been appointed head of Australia, taking over from Louise Watson, who had led the local business since 2018. At the same time, Barbara Whyte was elevated to chief operating officer, Australia. The appointments place two executives with deep experience inside the organisation at the helm of Natixis IM’s local operations as competition for institutional and wholesale flows continues to intensify across Australia’s funds management sector.
King, who joined the firm in 2020 as head of institutional sales, Australia, will oversee the group’s distribution and sales strategy across institutional and wholesale channels while working closely with Natixis IM’s affiliate managers to broaden its reach among Australian investors. Whyte, meanwhile, will take responsibility for operational and client service functions across the region. Having joined the business in 2014 as head of client service and operations for Australia and New Zealand, she brings more than a decade of experience working across the firm’s local operating model and client relationships.
