BlackRock adds to wealth advisory team

Kate McDermott will join BlackRock as the director and head of southern region sales within the firm’s wealth advisory group.

BlackRock head of wealth advisory James Langlands said: “Kate’s appointment will further strengthen our relationships in the southern region and demonstrates our commitment to assisting our advisory clients in building quality portfolios.”

Prior to joining BlackRock, Ms McDermott was a national account manager at Aberdeen Asset Management.

Mr Langlands said Ms McDermott’s experience in a range of wealth distribution roles makes her a valuable addition to the firm.
