Citi Appoints Head of Corporate Banking for Japan, Asia North and Australia

Citi has appointed JianXun (JX) Toh as Head of Corporate Banking for Japan, Asia North and Australia (JANA), effective immediately, as the bank continues to strengthen its corporate banking franchise across the region. Based in Hong Kong, JianXun Toh will report to Kaleem Rizvi and Marcelo Marangon, Co Heads Corporate Banking and will also have a matrix reporting line to Marc Luet, Cluster & Banking Head, JANA, it says in a statement. In his new role, he will oversee Citi’s Corporate Banking business across JANA, leading efforts to deliver the bank’s full suite of services to clients ranging from local corporates and financial institutions to public sector entities and multinational subsidiaries.
Toh brings two decades of banking experience to the position. Most recently, he served as Head of Technology & Communications (T&C), Corporate Banking for JANA and Asia South, where he led Citi’s coverage of technology and communications clients across the region. During his tenure, he worked closely with companies on international expansion initiatives, capital structure advisory and financing strategies. In his expanded leadership role, Toh will be responsible for driving growth across the Corporate Banking franchise while ensuring the continued maintenance of a strong risk and controls culture.
