Singapore companies endorsed for progressive practices
HRM Asia
The Human Capital Partnership (HCP) Programme, a tripartite initiative that recognises Singapore employers with progressive HR practices, has awarded an inaugural batch of 74 organisations with Certificates of Partnership. With the partnership, these companies become part of a community of progressive employers with keen focus on people development. They were also awarded the HCP Mark, an endorsement of their continued commitment to human capital development, which can be used firms’ corporate and marketing materials.
More specifically, these partners were identified for their commitment to nurturing a stronger Singaporean workforce core; maximise complementarity between locals and foreigners; and enhance skills transfer from foreign to local employees to increase capabilities of the local workforce. The first batch of programme partners includes global pharmaceutical conglomerate GlaxoSmithKline, Singapore property developer City Developments, TV broadcasters Discovery Networks Asia Pacific and The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia, and fashion retailer Charles and Keith. Nikko Asset Management, another one of the recipients, was recognised for empowering its female employees.
